主講人簡(jiǎn)介：

柯衡明教授，哈佛大學(xué)生物物理學(xué)博士，美國(guó)北卡羅來(lái)納大學(xué)教堂山分校醫(yī)學(xué)院的終身教授，美國(guó)NIH首席科學(xué)家，師從諾貝爾化學(xué)獎(jiǎng)獲得者William N. Lipscomb教授。柯教授在結(jié)構(gòu)生物學(xué)研究方面取得了世界知名的成果，已經(jīng)解出了PDE等10類(lèi)蛋白質(zhì)的晶體結(jié)構(gòu)。在Cell，Science，Nature Struct. Biol.，Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A，J Biol Chem，J Med Chem.，Development，Biochem. Pharmacol.，Biochem J., J. Mol. Biol.等國(guó)際著名學(xué)術(shù)期刊上發(fā)表論文80余篇。是American Crystallographic Association，American Association for the Advancement of Science 委員，J. Biological Sciences, Current Bioactive Compounds 編委，以及Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci., J. Mol. Biol.,J. Biol. Chem.，EMBO J.，Biochemistry，Structure，Protein: structure, function and genetics，Nature Structural Biology等頂級(jí)期刊的審稿人。

主講內(nèi)容：

Cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterases (PDEs) catalyse the hydrolysis of cyclic AMP  and cyclic GMP, thereby regulating the intracellular concentrations of these cyclic nucleotides, their signalling pathways and, consequently, myriad biological responses in health and disease. PDE inhibitors are used clinically for treating the pathophysiological dysregulation of cyclic nucleotide signalling inerectile dysfunction, pulmonary hypertension, acute refractory cardiac failure, intermittent claudication and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
